Yarrow 'Colorado Mix' (1 gallon pot)
Long lasting perennial.
2-4", flat-topped flower heads in shades of red, rust, beige, rose, yellow, apricot, and white on 24" stems.
Use fresh as a cut flower, adding drama to bouquets with the added benefit of a long vase life. Decorative, fern-like foliage. When dried, the color is retained. Low-maintenance.
We decided to plant yarrow to help attract & support beneficial insects to our garden - such as damsel bugs, lacewings, lady beetles, and parasitic wasps.
LIGHT PREFERENCE: Full Sun (Can do partial shade, but can cause stems to stretch & become floppy)
SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Loamy, well-drained soil. It thrives in hot, dry conditions; it will not tolerate soil that's constantly wet.
PLANT SPACING: 1-2'
VASE LIFE:7-12 days.
HARVEST: When pollen is visible on the flowers. Hang to dry.
