Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork, chicken, or turkey (I like pork, but all work)
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • *optional* 1 Tablespoon honey/brown sugar – it adds a nice sweetness – sometimes I add it, sometimes I don’t :)

 

Directions

 

Mix together until well combined. I like to let it rest for about 30 minutes before cooking – to let the flavors mingle a bit, but you can use it right away.
