Breakfast Sausage
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork, chicken, or turkey (I like pork, but all work)
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- *optional* 1 Tablespoon honey/brown sugar – it adds a nice sweetness – sometimes I add it, sometimes I don’t :)
Directions
Mix together until well combined. I like to let it rest for about 30 minutes before cooking – to let the flavors mingle a bit, but you can use it right away.
